My fuel pump locked up at 220,000 miles, and I ordered a new pump assembly from rock auto. To make a very long story very short, it drops from 44 to 15 pounds under full acceleration (the volage to the pump switches properly, from 10 to 14 volts) and my truck becomes a target. The only complete pump assembly I can find is a spectra unit, which is the unit rock auto sold me – and refuses to replace. In addition, I have to pay $6.06 to use their discounted shipping label privilege, which they will deduct from my refund. That, of course, assuming that they decide that that the product was truly defective – they only pay for shipping if they made an error in sending the wrong part. I am done with RockAuto, after spending a few thousand dollars on my Tundra there. At any rate, the pump suction strainer has rows of impressed dots on it, and some of them go clear through the mesh – I noticed this when I pulled the unit back out. I am curious if anyone has a recommendation for a very good if not excellent pump to install on my existing unit.

Get denso brand Oem for your truck. Sometimes it don’t pay to get inferior products for your truck, i bought aftermarket knock sensor and had to replace after one year. Real difficult and time consuming to do job twice
