2015 Toyota Tundra aftermarket 46 gallon fuel tank

    I had a 46 gallon aftermarket fuel tank installed on my 2015 Toyota Tundra. My local Toyota service department states the vehicle computer cannot be reprogrammed to recognize the higher capacity fuel in the aftermarket tank. When the vehicle fuel gage shows empty, I still have about 16-18 gallons of fuel in the tank. Anyone come across a potential method to get around this?
