I am considering a 2 inch leveling kit on my 2010 2 wheel drive, but I am concerned about premature steering rack failure.

Any insight or experiences with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I had a 2010 with about a 4” lift using icon coilovers and 34” bfg ko2s. Had the lift for about 4 years before the rack went out. Mostly mild off roading, nothing severe. I could tell months before it went out. It started groaning and ps pump would rattle at full turn. Finally gave out doing a u turn in a mall parking lot. My insurance paid for it. I think the dealer wanted about $3k to replace it.

2” isn’t a lot. It’s the same as the pro suspension. I think the issue is bigger and heavier tires.
