Hi gang! Looking for wiring help. I'm installing an auto dim rearview mirror on a 2018 SR5 and DO NoT want to run wires down the A pillar. Any thoughts on what wires to tap into in the upper console (only map lights and mic)? Thanks!

why the a-pillar aversion? It will take 5 minutes. you dont even have to remove the thing.

Gentex mirror with compass, requires power to operate properly. I've got constant power for lights but don't want the mirror on all the time.

I'm a little anal, want to keep wiring neat and don't like guessing. Harness doesn't have pre wiring for mirror on my SR5. Just wondering anyone knows what wires to save some time.

    Thanks!

Yes, you only want power to the home link when the key is on. It’s really best bet to get that from fuse panel in cabin with add a circuit. There are several down there that are only hot when the key is on.

It is up and running. End up running the wires down the A pillar to the mirror adjustment switch for power. Red wire for positive, black and white for ground.
