does the crash sensor, or whatever electronic sensor in the front need to be adjusted for the lift to be installed on a 2019 tundra. Toyota is telling me that is an issue.

What manufacturer lift kit is this? Surely a manufacturer wouldn't create a lift kit that adversely alters a crash sensor on a new truck.

I have not lifted mine, but from what I have read I believe the issue is that by raising the front of the truck you change the aim point of the radar. I don't know if it is adjustable. There must be some tolerance built in to compensate for heavy loads and trailers.

I lifted mine 8” and have not had a single TSS issue yet. I’ve not had it recalibrated either. Maybe I’m just lucky, but I’ll take it!

There are a lot of posts from people who've leveled and lifted without issue. It seems like if you keep the angle of teh sensor somewhat close to stock (either level, or lift front and rear equally), it isnt' a problem.

Thanks! I don't see too many with the 8" lift so thanks for the help.

I just did a 3/1 Icon lift and I had some sporadic issues with the forward collision warning sensor disabling even though I had it enabled. Only happened twice though. I mentioned it to my Toyota service dept and the told me the same thing, due to the lift they would need to reposition the sensors to point down a bit.

I dont think thats what it was honestly. I think its Toyota trying to cash in on us. My TSS has worked fine since the lift and event he Forward collision warning has kicked on when needed. Would it hurt? No. Is there some truth to them needed to realign? Maybe. Is it necessary? Doubt it.

The folks I bought the lift from are Tundra experts and they say most may need a re-calibration, but that was about it. Who knows what is really setting these off in each instance. That's what I get for someone ruining my 2017, and forcing me into a 2018, lol.
