A headunit and door speakers were recently installed (Kenwood Excelon DMX905s and Kenwood speakers). After tweaking the equalizer and the X-over I found a good combination for sound though that may change once the factory amp is eliminated/replaced. I found that everything sounds better when the phone is plugged in using Android Auto. I need to go into Google Music and adjust that equalizer for when I switch to Bluetooth. I am waiting for Thursday to come around. They will be bypassing the factory amp and installing a 5 or 6 channel Kenwood with a 10 inch Kenwood subwoofer. I am going with one for right now due to pricing but will definitely add another in the near future. I plan on taking pictures for everyone to see. Hopefully everything turns out well.

One problem I had is with the Metra dash mount. I had a piece break off from shipping which didn't seem to have much affect on installation and the right side sticks out noticeably. Anyone else had this issue?

Next up will be window tint and reflectors!

I'm using the same headunit, and metra kit, and mine fits great (i.e. flush) although its in a gen 2, so I'm not sure how different it is. if there is a missing tab from shipping, I'd replace it or send it back. just order a replacement first so you can swap them at the same time.
