So I replaced my transmission gasket on my 2014 tundra and after struggling to get it to stop seeping under the pan side of the gasket I ordered a new oem Toyota gasket and installed. Taking care to torque it to the correct specs. Now it isn’t seeping except on the drivers side and the more I tighten the pan bolts its seems to get worse. Also everything I researched says to put the gasket on dry with no sealant. Will the seeping slowly stop over time as the gasket forms to the pan or should I give up and take it somewhere?

    Doubt it will get better.

Did you follow a bolt sequence, or order to tighten bolts in? Kinda like a criss cross pattern?

I did when I first tightened them but after that I mostly tightened them where it was seeping.

Having not done this but may similar type things:

Was old gasket removed completely? Were the two surfaces cleaned of any old or new debris? Any chance the new one got out of place or got bent or compromised?
If certain of clean install I would be calling a local Transmission shop and ask if there was something overlooked.

Rereading 1st post has me wondering why it was leaking originally. Pan leaks not common on here, have not read about any others. Wondering if pan is/was damaged or was hit at some time to create the leak.

It may be worth having shop repair to save headache. At least resource YouTube if not already.

    Good Luck!
