i need to make a mounting plate. not sure how to do this on my own. here's what i need.

the decked drawers pose a problem. molle panels from rago and victory won't fit. this is about 10.5" tall and i need to fit the solar controller and blue sea deck panel. i'm thinking 2 bolts to tie it to the bed rail. for the bottom, i could probably get by with a small angle bracket in the middle to tie it to the deck. better option would probably by to fold the bottom behind and have a 1/4" lip that i could use to anchor the whole thing.

this isn't difficult but i don't know what i need to make it happen. so, either i convince one of you to make it for me or, one of you tells me what i need to get it done. i'll be a happy camper either way.

1/8 or 3/16 aluminum should work and it would be light weight.

Home depot, lowes, tractor supply. To bend it you can score a line with a cut off wheel about an inch up and that will help with bending it. Then drill holes where you want the screws or bolts. And for cutting the holes in it drill a hole in each corner of your cutout, and then use a jigsaw or sawzall to go from hole to hole and It will give it a clean rounded look.

ACE Hardware is another good source, at least my local one is at Hoffman Heights off Peoria Sean. They always have a small selection of various sizes and lengths of flat steel, "aluminnion". What's good about ACE I can take a picture or drawing and my local ACE folks always seem to know what I want or need.

Yeah, ACE on the Fax is good. The one at Hoffman Heights has been owned by the same family since the 60's. Their fastener aisles will blow you away. You can buy 1 of what you want or 100. Seriously you should go over to the Hoffman Heights ACE for at least a look see and take your drawings. Some very knowledgeable folks there, (old).
