    Hello guys! I’m Jason and I’ve owned several tundras in my life.

    I use to own a car repair shop and a dealership so I had easy access to getting stuff done on my vehicles.

    My first tundra was a 2000 tundra with 240k that I bought at the auction about 4 years ago. I paid $2555 for it out the door. It ran poorly and had a terrible leak from the exhaust manifold. I got it home, replaced all the spark plugs and coils, and then had the shop replace the intake manifold gasket.
    After doing that the truck ran like new. I pulled my boat with it and a toy hauler (a couple of times).

    After about a year I saw another good deal at the auction for a 2002 tundra with 245k miles. Paid $3210 for it. Ran great but needed new wheels and some body work. I got it nice and fixed up and ended up selling it for $5k after I bought the tundra I have now.

    My black beast is a 2005 Tundra Double cab v8 2wd with 225k. I bought it for $3700 at the auction. This truck is from California and has NO rust at all. Fully loaded, leather, dvd, power everything. The transmission was slipping like crazy though and when I got it to my shop we realized it was low on fluid. We filled it up and since then it has drove perfectly.

    It’s crazy how much wear and tear these trucks take, but still keep going. I’d like to have this truck for the rest of my life just because I think it could last that long.

    I love the actual 4 doors on this. This isn’t my only vehicle and I wanted something to pull the boat with, that looked good and could hold the family.

    We absolutely love this truck. I’ve put 30k miles on it since I got it with ZERO problems. I have upgraded the wheels and tires. Put a block lift on it and leveling kit. Windows are tinted as well.

    What I would like to do on my truck:

    -line the bed, however I’m not sure if I want to because I haul a lot of engines/transmissions and I’m not sure how it will hold up.
    -update all the interior/exterior lights
    -did my center caps and install on the wheels (the ones that came with these stick out like 4 inches and I think they look ugly like that)
    -repaint front bumper
    -possibly front bumper fish wacker
    -backup camera
    And the list goes on!

    I love this forum and it gives me a lot of great ideas on how to update my truck. Also I live in Utah but I’m from Oregon. Any other members from Utah here?
