I saw a leaf sticking of this rubbery cover near the bottom of the front fender and go to pull it out and found a shit ton of leafs/debris. Check passengers side and nothing. So just a fair warning to everyone. Not sure how it got there. Haven’t driven through any piles of leafs.

I just noticed the same thing this past weekend after washing my truck. I found a ton of leaves on the drivers side. I think the way the windshield cowl is shaped on the drivers side just allows the leaves to fall into the void behind the wheel.

This has been discussed since 2007. Good reminder to clean out every few months.

Good lord. That’s some quality design. Let’s funnel the debris inside the fender.

Yeah. And having an easy/obvious way to clean them out is a really good design.

I had to replace a fender on a VW Jetta the other day and no lie I bet a pound of crap was imbedded behind the inner splash shield at the bottom of the fender
Pretty much all cars have that issue
