new Brake pads 2009 Tundra Crewmax lifted towing trailer/ vibration /

I am about to replace my rear brake pads and it occurred to me to ask what community thinks are the best pads to buy. I was about to purchase the Duramax ceramic. I have just replaced my front pads with Duramax ceramic. I've just towed my camper trailer to the coast and thought the brakes were a bit squishy so I will purchase a bleeding apparatus of some kind.
The last time I went to Oregon I had some vibration while coming down some steep grades. I only stepped on the brakes intermittently when I really needed to. I don't know how to describe the vibration but it seemed to be the front. I didn't have that issue this last weekend on the only steep down grade before San Luis Obispo.

Yes, that was my fear, although I haven't had that happen again since I changed front pads. I just came down a really steep grade near San Luis Obispo and didn't have shuddering or any problem, so I'm hoping that I don't. I did have that conversation with my son and if it does occur again I will buy new rotors.

 

Did you blast or get the old pad material off the rotors when you put new pads on? You probably have cintered material embedded in the rotors and now are running a different compound. Makes things wonky sometimes.

EBC Yellow are great for towing. Used them when I had a big tuck and 20K toy hauler. They work great.

 

The closest thing to made in America is EBC pads and rotors. They say they are made in the UK or US. I'd probably hope for UK because even if they say US the steel STILL might be coming from China.. maybe... the UK might not get steel from China as much as the US does?
