Well, I’m an idiot. @T-Rex266 would you be so kind as to move this to the third gen marketplace?

How’d you like it over all? I’ve heard mixed things about it, but I love the way it looks

I’m going back to stock for now. If you’re in to spending the time tweaking the settings and making the right adjustments it’s a great Mod.

    Pros:

It’s cool being able to load any app and watch live tv (I use sling) in the truck.

It looks freaking awesome and there are a ton of UI options out there.

It’s a huge freaking screen in your dash

Adding an external hard drive of music was a dream come true

Being able to map with Waze was literally the best part for me. I drive all day to various places and not having to look at my tiny phone screen was sweet.

It felt like I was able to keep a much more consistent temp with my HVAC. !!!***full disclosure***!!! This HU does not give you automatic climate control. Having said that I do feel like having digital temp settings made it much easier to find a comfortable temp. I may be the only one but I always felt like my truck (no auto climate) was either a little to cold or a little to hot.

    Cons

The mic on the head unit is not as good as stock. My wife always said she could hear me fine enough but it seemed significantly softer than my stock mic. I am in sales and am on the phone on my car all day. I need the best mic quality over any other feature bar-non. ***this is the only reason I’m selling it***there is a way to have a standard jack soldered on to it and run an aftermarket mic to the stock location with excellent sound quality but that’s a bridge to far for me. Like I said earlier if you like to tinker this ones for you.

It takes a lot of research to get the kinks ironed out. There is no instruction book but there is a great group to go to for answers here: Takes about 5 seconds longer to be fully booted than the stock unit. Not a huge problem but I found it slightly annoying.

Which part are you wanting to know if it still works with this HU? This HU lets you use front or rear camera at anytime and when the vehicle is in motion, you can input settings or bring any app up. It is compatible, but you don't need the FRAC with it.
