Just got off the phone with Amazon. Frankly I’m amazed at how responsive and helpful their customer service department is. I was able to negotiate a set of front 5100s for the price of $117. I didn’t get a full set of 5100s like others (I tried but the supervisor said that was too much).

She kept wanting to contact the seller and see where it goes. After nicely explaining that it won’t get us anywhere we started talking about alternative options. Took 45+ min but at least I got something worthwhile out of this ordeal!!

If you call just be patient, nice, and hear them out. Then be prepared to counter. They’re trained to not say no and resolve the situation. My 6+ yrs of prime membership also helped. Oh, and it helps if you propose to buy an alternative that’s fulfilled by amazon. Even if it costs them more to reimburse you they can cover the cost difference easier.

Its not just an ordinary name tag holder. Its a hinged name tag holder... Or is it more a name tag pocket protector type of thing?

Would of been great to have seen everyone get such a crazy deal on those shocks, but seriously....

    Its been an entertaining thread!
    Hopefully next time!

    Hold up!

It was really hard to talk to Amazon (I don’t do well on the phone), but I did call and report the seller and made sure that the Amazon Leadership Team has 4wheelonline under investigation for deceptive sales practices.

    Ok...serious note.
I will Draw a custom portrait (you, loved one, pet) for whoever makes the 1000th post.

But REAL POSTS, people. Not one word filler posts.

and maybe it will be a small consolation to the winner for not getting their shocks.

I just realized, would they even have been able to stock the 8000 units they sold? I doubt Bilstein even has that many.

Auto detail, vinyl wrap specialist. Truck has a 300gal fresh water tank for spot free water while detailing and a Honda pressure washer
So now that I got Amazon to get me the 5100 at the price it was advertising “sorry for those who didn’t” I have a few questions.

I’m planning on having them installed at the top setting. Is it true doing this that there is a possibility of ball joints, bushings and other components wearing out over time faster vs if I have them set up on middle setting?

Also let’s say I have them installed at the top setting and don’t like it and want to go with the middle setting. Would I have to take the complete shock out to adjust it?
