For that price that sh!t better be good hahaha. I was aiming at the HD 900/5 but I have the non-JBL system and needed a DSP. As the price added up it was the same as the VXi800/8. I got a really good deal on the JL Audio stealthbox. Thought about the VXi1000/1 but the stealthbox is wired to 4ohms :sadviolin:and it made more sense getting the HD750/1. The plan is to bridge the full range L3SE, front mid bass at 2ohms and rear mid bass at 4ohms.

I did the noico deadening inside each door two strips of 6”x 27(or whatever the overall length is). On bottom I oriented toward speaker side, on top toward handle side..... Then I did two pieces to cover what the oem plastic sheet did. Put a few small strips on door panel and window switch panel. I also did a .25” strip under the wood from the 12v speaker pack. I almost used a 36 sq ft pack for that. Have a second pack to do floor and back wall when I get amp in. So far I can tell a difference just with doors.

I used Noico on the door and parts of the plastic panel, in the snow, while it was snowing. Exponential difference, no rattle and cleaner sound and I was only able to get the front doors done, will do the rears this weekend and take pics.

    Pretty much what he said...

I put some(10sq ft) on the door panels when I replced my speakers last week. I already had it on the inner and outer metal door skins. Ideally you'll do both the metal of the door and some on the plastic panel itself. It's designed for the metal door skins, inside and out to make the doors more solid and keep the sound inside the cab, so if you do only one surface I'd do the door itself. Once you get the door panels off you'll realize it's really easy and won't mind pulling them again later and do more work in them when it warms up. You could possibly use a cheaper self stick foam material on the door panels to reduce the plastic rattles and vibrations but the noico isnt cheap so I'd use it on the metal. The doors sound and feel so much more solid as a result

Thanks for the clarification. In your previous posts I didn't realize you had the metal covered already.

I did a lot of sound deadening over the summer. Trust me once you get the door panels off you'll see it's not so bad, maybe 3 minutes per door to remove and reinstall.

I moved my front tweeters on the speaker mount kick panel side. Figured the dash mids and highs were enough. E31BDCAA-7178-4A5A-AA2A-BBF3B96FE3C8.jpg

Instead of drilling in your sails? I take it you don't have tweeters in your sail already.

Yes. SR5 non jbl. If you have the tweeters in the sail panels, you can leave them in and add the new tweeters to the system. There is no need to remove them from the system. Most of the distortion comes from the factory 6x9

Does anyone know when the last batch of Speakers will ship out? I already got the sound matting that I ordered from James, but no speakers yet.

I ordered them on the 27th and haven’t received a shipping notice either. It has been looking like 1-2 weeks for shipment on them.

Be patient young padawan .... the man is very busy on this group buy and I can assure you that he will take care of you. I've ordered the sub, amp and wiring from him. The sub came busted, (not his fault, but UPS) and he quickly handled the situation and had a replacement on the way that very next day. I paid nothing extra and he ate the shipping charge. I didn't have enough for the door speakers, but he'll definitely get my money still at the full price once I've recovered some funds.

I know he is busy, and I didn’t mean to sound impatient. I was just letting the previous poster know that he hasn’t been forgotten about and that it will take a few weeks to receive.

if anyone has not gotten their tracking yet its because Infinity did not have any 3.5s in stock and did not bother telling me they were out of them. I have a shipping girl that handles nothing but shipping orders and she is on top of all of it . They show tracking that they will be delivered to us on tuesday .At any time if you need an update you can email me tech12volt@gmail.com and you will get a response back from me. If you send a PM sometimes I do not get a notification that I have one in my box. sorry for any delay. The group buy pricing is still on our site as I have not had time to take it down yet. So if you still want in on that pricing get yours ordered asap . The amp is still on group buy also

Yes. It sounds weak, like faint but it’s there. That normal for front tweeters or?

Go to Tylers post - #335. Click on his build link and go to second page, scroll down for pics. I wired my tweeters by splicing into the Metra Harness that should have come with your shipment from James. The front doors are straight forward, the rear doors aren't as simple. I broke off the pc from the old tweeter like Tyler did for the rear doors. I think you have a 2019 with JBL, yes?

My front door tweeters had really no sound at all until I installed the amp and wired all that in with the DSR1. Not sure what you ordered, I got everything but a new HU.

It’s funny that the back tweeters sounds almost perfect. Sitting in the backseat feels amazing! If the whole truck sounded like that, I wouldn’t of ordered the amp.
