I'm looking to replace the standard stock no power mirror with a powered one. Is it possible and/or difficult to wire in one? Thanks in advance!

I bought a OEM backup camera kit from someone a few years ago. The mirror had the video screen, homelink, compass, and auto dimming features in it. My truck already had the wiring for it tucked up in the ceiling console. All I had to do was remove the console and push the wiring harness down through a small slot in the headliner. It plugged into the mirror with no issues. Maybe check to see if you have the same harness. I don't know what years was pre-wired for the backup camera.

Yes, did the same as above on my sr5 dc. You have to get the mirror and the cable from the mirror to the connector buried in the front of the overhead console. My 2010 was prewired for the backup camera. Great upgrade. Plug and play.

You can upgrade to auto dim, compass, homelink, and in mirror LCD for backup camera. All plug and play.
