So I started in my Tundras HID retrofit and everything was going fantastic until I got the headlight apart.

I was going to wipe what looked like water droplets off the chrome reflector, and just a little bit of water and a microfiber cloth rubbed a HUGE section of chrome off.

Does Toyota sell the chrome reflectors as a separate part, or am I screwed and have to buy a Chinese headlight just to get the reflector bit out?

I’ve searched and can’t seem to see an exploding diagram of the headlights with part numbers.

First, thank you for the part number, but wow thats pricey for a lense and chrome reflector.

I think my plan B is to buy a used OEM drivers side with a fogged lense for $50 and just toss the lense.

Thank you again for finding that though. Made my decision much easier.

Not too wild about baking a third headlight open, but it is wha it is.

Never seen chrome rub off with water before!!

It's just a flash chrome coating to make the housing shiny. They don't expect it ever have any rubbing contact. Good luck with the conversion.

So just an update, for $110 less, I went this route:

Excellent condition OEM headlight with good chrome, but mounting tabs are broken.

So just in case you fall into the same predicament as me, just buy used/broken tabbed headlights and re-use the internals.
