I bought a used set of 5100's that have the coil springs already installed. They were adjusted to the max lift position so I rented a spring compressor and adjusted them to the middle position. After reassembling them I started questioning my work. The orientation of the 4 mounting studs on top and the position of the bottom shock mount don't seem to be right. When I mount the top of the shock with the 4 studs then the bottom mount won't be in the right orientation to fit where it goes. Also, the top of the upper mounts have an arrow stamped in them with the word "out" and I am assuming this means that they are supposed to face outward when mounting them? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Mount it up top and spin the eye with a long bar. The arrow points in the direction it should face. Out = pointing out at fender.

That's what I was thinking. I compressed the springs again and tried to get the orientation as close as I could so when I go to install them I will at least be close to where I need to be.
