Which trim leather seats durable for children's car seats?

From what I gather the leather seats on the Platinum and 1794 are of much high quality leather, and more comfortable than the Limited.

My question is which would be best for a guy to get a Tundra who has children? I'm wondering if getting the Platinum leather could damage easier because it's looser. Or is it the other way around?

Also I'd hate to accidently have my nice leather seats rip or make a permanent indentation because of my kids car seats.

I've got two strapped into my backseat. Best advice I've gotten is to get a good car seat pad and/or a backseat cover. The pad will protect some from indentation, and the cover will protect from kicking feet and all the food, milk/juice they spill.
I bought a cheap cover and I'm going to be in the market for something better soon.
Get the seats you want, and cover up what they're on.

 

I would just place one of the car seat protectors down first and you should be fine. I know in my truck with the cloth the car seat has left some pretty good indentions. In the wife's truck I have the protector and it has helped with that.

 

You cinch the carseat down tight enough so it's not gonna move and it's going to indent. There's no way around it.

 

Thanks guys! Car seat pads it will be. I knew they made the ones for the back of the front seats, but not for the actual bottoms of the car seats.

 

Yeah they make them for the bottoms, little tougher material and work well.

Exactly. I have car seat pads/protectors for both of my kids' seats, but there are still indentations since you have to get them so freaking tight. I'm sure it helps with the pads, but it's pretty much impossible to avoid.

 

We use the same one, have two in each car under the car seats. Indentation is very minimal and the protector actually stays in place, which can’t be said for many other protectors..

 

I use a simple bath towel folded a few times and placed under car seat. Helps with the indentation (a bit) and soakes up anything that makes its way down there. Great thing about a simple bath towel is you can color match and wash easily.

Nothing shy of a Cage in the bed will save your car from children. Nothing.

 

Where do I find said cage?

 

I’m sure anything suitable for a Doberman or a great white shark would work, but even then I would test it first.

 

Car seat pad is the way to go. Doesnt matter what type if material you have. Those damn carseats will destroy it.

 

I purchased these to try in order to protect the leather in my platinum as its very soft. Any car seat protector should work.
