    anybody have a good head unit that is exact fit for the 1st gens? i dont like the look of head units with the side brackets... please post pictures! or make/model of the head unit...

    working on upgrading the audio..
    I'm far from being an expert, but the only thing I'm aware of is the stock unit.
    There are 2 basic sizes - single and double DIN - that have specific sizes for MOST after-market units.

    Those sizes are not necessarily an exact fit for EVERY vehicle, which is why vendors like Metra make kits to ensure an exact fit for your specific vehicle.
    It is what it is.
