I don't know that you must remove the mirror from the vehicle, but if you do that it would enable you to put it in your lap with a towel to work on. This way you have more leverage, and you're not torquing on the mount. I THINK that the mirror glass moves in the up direction to remove, and that's the stressful part because you're always thinking you're going to break it. And that's possible. Then, like you mentioned, you can better see and access the tabs for the caps.

Front brake pads with new rotors... bought OEM parts from Wilson Toyota down in Bellingham, WA (about an hour from here and much better prices than buying in Canada).

Did the rear brakes and rotors last month. Going to install the Bilstein 5160's next - maybe tomorrow, hope to get the 305/65R17 BFG KO2's mounted on the Method NV's tomorrow as well and the Bilstein 6112's once they come in from Keith at DD's sometime this week - should have this first round of services and minor mods done by next weekend :)

4 new center caps... The old ones were looking like shit and peeling. Disgusting how much TRD charges for these...

Its not really legal here either. Just risking a fix-it ticket if some LEO is having a bad and boring day.

Edit: after thinking about it, I'm guessing boring could be considered a good day.

Got tired of my flashlight rolling around in the console. Added clip mounts to keep that renegade devil under control. This was posted by someone else a while back. Just finally got around to it.

Baby got new shoes! I replaced my Toyo Open Country MT's after 50,000 miles with a fresh set of Toyo RT's. I'll see how I like them in the long term, but so far they feel very smooth and very 'grippy' in comparison--plus somewhat quieter, but I never had an issue with the MT's on that anyway. My MT's still had some wear left in them, but since we're heading into winter, I decided to err on the side of caution.

After owning this for merely 2 weeks I've installed a bed rug, plasti-dipped most the chrome on the truck and removed all the Tundra/Toyota decals off the sides and back
for a cleaner look. Only few things left for her...cant lift her due to my back, climbing and and out of high trucks but I got a console safe on order, weather tech floor mats and front grille guard left to put in. New shoes will go on later.

Installed a drop in K & N filter, and deleted the charcoal filter in the stcok box, better airflow for sure, still falls flat after about 4000 RPm. Need the exhaust I guess....

Today I got my under seat storage on the rear installed. Since I noticed not a whole lot of it in the tundra.

Law, that is exactly what I was thinking to do. All my other cars have tint on the brow and I want to add it on the tundra. Couple of questions. First, on the brow, how does the tint stick to that black dotted area above the mirror? That's whats been holding up my tinting, I'm worried it's gonna cause air bubbles to form. Second, how do you like the 50% on the sides. Seeing at night is very important to me too. Is it okay? Could you go darker or would you go lighter?

I'm not sure how they stick it to the dotted area, but I got mine done at a very reputable shop around my area and haven't had any problems. My guess would be, it's the quality of work done and they did a great job.

On the 50%, I love it at night. It's not so dark where I can't see crap. On really sunny days I wish I could go a little darker, but all things considered, i think I made the right choice. I'd rather have to wear sunglasses (which I would do anyways) than risk hitting someone at night.

I would get a buddy that's tinted his windows and get him to give you a ride both at day and at night and see how you like it. That's what I did with my cousin who had his f150 tinted 35% all around and it was too dark for me at night. He even admitted he had to roll down his Windows to back up in most areas rain or not. That was my deal breaker.

Side note: the brow is great but still get glare because of the dash design. So what I did was stopped going for the gloss finish when cleaning my truck and started using 303. The matte finish is much better and easier on the glare.

Exactly the ones I'm looking into!!

Thought about in channel, but even they don't look as good as the seamless. And there's no way I'm getting the stick ons. Just looks off

Just installed a TruXedo cover on my 2010 Tundra. Looks nice if I do say so myself. So easy even I could do it. Only one concern, it has a gap under the front. I think I can use some camper tape to solve this. What say you?
