While the dial is set to direct the heat to the floor, I still get some out of the dash vents. Is this normal? This is my 1st Tundra.

    Thanks

Unfortunately it is normal. The air system on the tundra is not the greatest.

This is normal for HVAC systems. My GMC, Chevy, Lexus, Jeep, Dodges, Audi, Ford all have done the same.

Check out this article. Pretty good read on vehicle HVAC systems.

Same here....my Tacomas didn’t, nor does our 4Runner do this while on full Floor mode. I’ve found that I have to close the dash vents in the Tundra as for some reason the air never stops going to those. Cannot figure why they have it this way. Lots of comments and threads about the issue throughout the forum.

Yea my Tacoma did not do this either, I can live with it just wasn’t sure if this was right or did the dealer mess something up when they had my dash apart to fix the radio antenna cable that was severed, yea 10 miles on the truck. Was severed from the factory.

    Thanks for the input gang.
