Any help would be greatly appreciated. First time poster here.

I have a 2012 Tundra 5.7 with 55k miles on it. A couple months ago i noticed when I started the vehicle it sat at 2500 rpm for quite a while. Even when I put it in drive I had to push hard on the brakes to keep it from lurching forward. Drove around for a while and after shutting the truck off and restarting it went back to normal.

This morning had the same issue. Was pulling my boat to the lake and it just seemed real froggy, barely tap the gas and it would take off. Again it was idling at 2000rpm. After being at the lake for a while, went to take the boat out and the opposite was occurring. Would push the gas and nothing would happen till the throttle was about 1/4 pushed and it would just jump forward and RPMs would shoot up. It was idling around 800 then. Trying to make it home, came to a large hill going about 5mph and gave it some gas, nothing. Had the throttle pushed to the floor and it was creeping up the hill. It almost seemed like it was missing because it would surge on and off on and off. Once i got to the highway i put the pedal to the floor and was able to get to highway speed. Once i got the RPMs up it ran ok on the highway home until I slowed down and it seemed like it was missing/cutting out horribly.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I came over from a different forum but did you get this fixed? I had an issue where my idle was at 2400 on start, then it would surge 3 times and then slowly drop. I pulled the throttle body and the back side was filthy at 65,000 miles or so. I cleaned it and haven't had the issue since.
