Updates for 2015 tundra stereo

New owner of a 2015 tundra, chose this one because it offers the hands free sound system. My wife is a nurse and has to take calls constantly. The stereo is not very compatible with the iPhone 8 it works but there are a few bugs. Anyone have any tips?

 

Did you pair the phone with the stereo? I have iphone x, just had to pair it and if imtake a call i can chose hands free, phone or speaker.

Yes we paired, however the gps... google maps will not provide audio through the sound system and pandora/Spotify randomly decide to take over the radio. I read the manual and it specifically states that it is compatible up to iPhone 5 I assumed that the software in the iPhone 8 was too advanced. Remember my username is Stupid is

 

I had a bunch of Bluetooth issues and head unit hangs before updating the head unit. It resolved the connectivity issues and it no longer froze. That said, after 2-3 months I had enough with Entune and am replacing it with a Caraplay Alpine unit. Toyota makes great cars/tucks but their head units (and speakers) leave much to be desired. I did the same with my old FJ. I’m on the phone and on the road a lot and would highly recommend biting the bullet and replacing it if you can.

 

I'm using a Iphone XS Max with a 2014 model radio.
