High idle

    has k/n air intake
    start truck either cold or after running awhile ..idles high most times I just tap foot pedal goes right back to normal idle ..open for suggestions ? oh it has a k/n air intake that was on the truck when I bought ..just as soon put it back to original having a hard time finding parts that I don' t have to pay all out doors

    This is how Toyota has chosen to get the converter up to temperature for emission purposes, it is normal. It's a good idea to get rid of the K&N, it can create issues, you may be able to find stock intake components on Craig's List or at an auto recycler.

    could try cleaning mass air flow sensor as well. sometimes those oiled after market filter will coat the sensor and cause it to get dirty and make your truck idle funny

    Yes I do want to get Away from the k/n filter ..been searching ...thanks for the idea of cleaning that sensor also .thanks for the response ..HOORAH

    If you want the performance of the K&N but better filtration and no oil look up Afe dry Pro S. Otherwise stock is the best filtration.
