Remote start on TRD Pro

I had a remote start installed in my 19trd Pro. I used the compustar 920s. I hated the way it interfaced with the the truck. I had to use a key fob, my original key based lock/unlock buttons wouldn’t work when the remote start was active, etc... I asked them to just take it out and told them I didn’t want my money back I just didn’t want it in The truck.the guys at DFW camper / truck super store in Mesquite were able to, instead, reprogram the remote starter to work with my original keys. It’s perfect and works are well as it could have stock. If you are looking to add remote start, they have a factory like option that works perfectly.

 

Personally, I like my compustar system along with the Dronemobile. But my 2017 did not have a smart key, just a basic key w bulky old school fob that I no longer have to have on my ring.
