Failed Level???

Took my 2016 Tundra to have it leveled and this is what I got back.

 

Bilstein 5100s on the top setting? They’ve got the spring cups upside down. Better bring it back quick.

 

What did they use?

What did you level with? Spacer or coil over ? You either need to lower the front if possible or get some @Coachbuilder1 shackles. Contact him at ekstrom design. Extremely helpful.

 

I took it in to have a level kit put on. Paid a little over $450. Receipt says spacer and alignments.

 

If you can take a picture of what they put in I'm sure these guys can help you.

I'm going to call the shop in the morning. Just thought I would get some opinions. I thought it was a simple process but I guess I was wrong. ;(

 

So what type of shocks are they?

Edit: I see spacers. Looks like they got carried away with them.

 

Definitely take it back and tell whoever those blind bastards that installed the kit to fix that! And don’t let them tell you to drive it a while to see if it levels itself out. Just an FYI.....to level the front you should have 2” spacers. Did you maybe get 3” spacers??

 

Yes please post pics and you will get replies pretty quick on what looks wrong. Does the receipt show the brand or part number or anything like that?

This is what mine looks like with an 1 3/4" rough country leveling kit.

 

This is happening way to much. Does no one read instructions at shops anymore.

 

This. And 2” spacers are not 2” thick, so maybe that’s were confusion set it. Because of the suspension geometry, actual lift is more than the spacer thickness (or the increased loaded length of the coilover), very roughly 1 1/2 times the spacer.

 

You just dropped it off and said level it, without finding out what they were going to use or what it would cost?

 

Did they install it on very uneven ground? Go Pokes!!!

So this is interesting to me as I’m wanting to level mine right now too. Going to follow this thread.

 

I would be going back and getting it removed or fixed- then find another garage fast. I’ve dealt with a lot of shops and most have a lot of pride in what they do, and would not have let your truck leave looking that way. Most local and off road shops, at least around here, have done enough lifts in most brands to know what your truck needs to match what you want.

If you have the tools and time you could go this route. It'll be a wee more Than $450 though.

Bilstein 6112 in front set at 1.9
Bilstein 5160's in the rear.

Leveled it right out with now issues and a far more stable ride. The stock shocks were in the words of Jason Bourne, a bit splashy.

 

@Cowboy405 So did you get it fixed? I hope you haven’t been driving around like that.

 

Is there any lean in the back end at?

 

I've never seen anything like this EVER. Was there a hidden film crew in the shop? I'm LOL at this, I mean really?

 

Might have an Employee Parking Lot full of F-150's!

 

That is a full 3 inch front leveling kit. You need a 1 or 2 inch block in rear. I did a 1 inch and mine is completely level. 2 inch in rear will give you a slight rake in the rear.
