Fuel Economy Experiment

Towed a 5000 pound travel trailer to the Carolina foothills earlier this week using tow-haul mode, with less than 2000 miles on the Tundra. This time I'm posting the on-board MPG round trip indications.The Tundra is a strong tow vehicle!

Tundra/Oliver rig:

Average: 13.1MPG on a 135 mile round trip.

That is definitely true. I grew up around Knoxville, and spent many summers in the Smokies. Some of the most beautiful countryside in the world.

You can claim that beer whenever sir. Maybe we can meet up at Penrose Commons. You ever fish over there? We usually hit the Independence Trail System with the Jeeps and then have beers.

I am trying to get a life besides "WORK" that terrible 4 letter word. If there is something going on, let me know and if there is a chance to get away, I'll do it. Never heard of Penrose Commons. Essentially lived here my whole life, but spent the last 30 years Active duty, and DA CIV for the Corp of Engineers in ALA. Trying to get back in the grove of Colo.

Penrose Commons is in Penrose by Brush Hollow Reservoir. You can YouTube Patriot or Independence trail system.

HAHA! From what I saw, my Tundy doesn't have a 4 link, 40"tires, lockers, 20 inch lift, etc... But sure. It's a Toyota.
