I have a 2015 1794 Ed Tundra. I would love to put the 18 Headlights in. I’m confused if this is even a possibility??? The more I am reading, the more I am lost.
    Any input would be great!!!!

I was looking and I saw that there is chrome or blacked housing for the headlights. Does anyone known or seen pictures on how different they look?

There’s a side by side pic on one of the headlight threads on here. You just have to sift thru it. But one is the typical bright chrome you normally see in a headlight housing and the other is a smoked chrome. More gray than black I Feel and it’s only on parts of it.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I’m wondering if anyone has upgraded their 2017 platinum to the new LED headlights. If so, any issues with using the leveling dial with the new LED headlights?

@iHacker, wondering what the purpose of the Morimoto Motocontrol is. I bought your harness previously and see now some of the other harnesses are not using the Motocontrol. Im just about to install the stock 2019 Pro LED headlights in my 2017 SR5 after buying your harness last year. Your knowledge is appreciated.

Morimoto harness were used to keep the Lo beam ON when switching to Hi beam, not sure if you remember but in our trucks when Hi beam is activated the Lo beam is turned off which isn’t the normal functionality in a 2018+ truck. The current version of the harness does everything without the Motocontrol with some Schottky rectifiers soldered directly into the main harness so this makes it plug n play for Lo and Hi beam

Anyone in here noticing water seepage inside the 2018 headlights? That's if you guys do a bit of offroading and running through puddles. I noticed mud water inside the driverside headlight and yes my truck is the 2018 equipped with the LED headlight.

Nothing, make sure your parking light bulbs and turn signals are seated correctly to avoid moisture buildup inside the lenses

Is is worth it to upgrade from the harness I got from you last year? I haven't installed it yet and don't mind spending the money for a different one if you think it's worth while. I saw someone mention besides not needing the Motocontrol you could also dim something that was apparently annoying to other drivers.

    Hello buddy,

Both harness works as intended, if you like less wires to worry about the newer harness is a good option, if installing and having a few extra wires don't bother you I don't see the need to spend more $$ and buy the new harness, thats just my opinion.

My 18 is equipped with the headlights, never messed with the bulbs or plugs, but will check them anyways. Was wanting to see if anyone else has any leak issues that might be a manufacture issue.

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
Question: I have a 2015 1794 with stock headlights, if I install LED lights from a 2019 is there a big difference? This what I found on You Tube is it about right723CF735-B0EE-4B5A-B338-E5D2FA10C424.jpg
