Hi folks - first post here (been lurking for a bit).
I'm looking at getting back in the Tundra game (used to have an 01, and loved it) and have been keeping an eye out for something 2012-16 in good shape to be a daily driver (3 kids to school, 45mi hwy round trip) and hunting and general fun/work/home project truck.

Recently a dealer here in Michigan took in a 2012 TRD Rock Warrior Crewmax in trade. Im going to take a look this week. Seems like all leather and power/entertainment options, tow pkg etc. Looks clean and well kept from the photos and tires in good shape.
I like the look and stance of it - a lot.

They have it listed at $24,500 and has 77k miles on it.
How do we feel about this deal?
Any red flags or things I should specifically look for or ask about?

    Thanks a lot!

RW are great trucks. check undercarriage for rust, check cam towers for possible leaks. check if any issues with AIP

Thanks. Will do. I think I remember reading that most AIP issues were 2007-11... and that new parts started in '12. Is that not the case? How would one check for an AIP issue?

best would be to get truck history at dealership see if any work was done or if you have the VIN #, check toyota owners website.
if AIP issue you would have a bunch of lights on the dashboard. Most likely it's good ;)

for rust, have a peak underneath the truck and for cam tower leak, check the long thread we have. If it's not leaking now at 77K I think you won't have it.

Thanks! found the cam tower thread and pics too! If they'll deal a bit and all check out, this might just work.

    Thats a great looking rig!
I think you're good at that price point for sure.
Like others mentioned, undercarriage rust and cam tower are the big ones.
