Truck in shop for kit ... need advise please

To all. Thank you all in past with my questions on lift and other issues. My 18 is getting a 6 inch lift with 295/65/20 what do I need to get reset?? And who can do it besides the dealership?? Thanks!!!!

 

What lift brand you going with?

 

I went with 6 inch RC and new shock and struts

You 4x4? If so, FYI your rear crossmember will be cut, I too have this kit but it's an older version or template as an RC tech told me, so my rear crossmember is NOT cut and technically I can take this kit off, but I would need OEM steering knuckles if I wanted to go to a lower lift, I spoke with RC and I could drop down to there 4.5" kit, just rear blocks n front spacers

 

Yes I was told that. But I don’t want to use spacers and the other kits was way out of my budget. Lol.

 

So your kit will have the extended struts, I'm still OEM front, RC shocks in the rears

 

I have this same kit as you on my 08 but why would you want to go down to a 4.5 ?

 

Yes. I think I read on here that you had spacers and that you said they was bad.

 

I'm putting these on my truck next week tell me how it rides after you pick it up. Going from spacers to the lifted struts

 

As old guy with back surgery, ankles getting worse it's hard on me, I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought my truck lol, just saw a lifted Tundra and feel in love lol, to me 6" kit just a bit too much especially trying to get stuff in bed, I know I need that bed step for sure

 

Iam super excited to get my truck Friday. Just need to see what I need to reset after the lift.

 

I can understand! I am a plumber so I have bad knees .So any issues with your lift by not having it cut ? I have no issues with mine

 

This shop they doing an alignment as well???

 

Are the tires the same as a 35" ?

 

Having a few slight knocking noises, I don't take off-roading (nothing serious) just beach drives and some mild back roads, I need to get it checked out

 

35x12.50x20 wheels are 20x10 +20 flush with fender flares

 

@Les7311 has this kit and he removed the front spacers and has the struts that RC has

 

I do at times but mainly off of curbs while turned all the way while backing . nothing much though

 

No they are sending it to a goodvtire shop they use. And yes running 35 inch tires.

 

@Jadoti has these as well I asked about em too, I have the 1st ones that came out, they are black, have not slapped on, been sitting in corner for bout a year lol

 

Get "roadforce" balanced, did mine at Firestone

 

O man get on it lol .My machanic friend said I wont need another alignment after we will see.

 

Was thinking of getting rear shocks n struts by RCD lifts, they have some extended Bilstein's

 

Do you see in the pic the spring didn't sit all the way down on the perch yet but I think they will when on the truck for sure .I hope

 

Your missing a red plastic piece that sits at the bottom and between the coil

 

Really I never got that in my shipment .Crap time to call them back.would you have a pic ?
