@2016SR5CO Ok, medium long story: a couple of months ago there was a tree in brother's yard that a huge limb had broken but hadn't really freed itself from the rest of the tree, so we climbed up and chainsawed as much as we could, but couldn't get to the main part, because it was too sketchy a climb with a chainsaw. So obviously we decide to try to yank it off with a rope and the front of my tundra. I may or may not have altered the front bumper of my truck ever so slightly, pulling the driver side out a half an inch while inversely pulling the passenger side in towards the wheel well. Reading that some people have removed the forward mud flap to fit some tires, I decided that I would just remove the passenger side forward flap (I love asymmetry) before I had the new wheels installed. I've driven it twice, done some tight parallel parking, cutting the wheel in both directions in drive and reverse, and I haven't heard a sound or felt a rub. Even on the shorter passenger side. If anything changes I will let you know, but so far so good.

oh, and the branch came down

I'm looking to do close to what you have: quicksand with ARE topper and BFG KO2's (or Falken Wildepeak AT3W) at 275/70r18 but at factory height. Heaven help me that they fit with no rubbing.

They will probably rub imo. Mine rub just a tiny bit on the driver side.

Nice! I’m going to have to replace my nfab steps. When I crawled under they are all rusted out. Are those the RCI sliders?

Not the best photo but I run 275/70/R18 Wildpeak w/ Low Range Offroad 3/1 Level kit. Great tire and great price, I went from 15mpg to 13 which sucked.

I was going to get the wildpeak as well, but right before I bought them they shot up $40 dollars a tire. Went with the bfg instead. Heard nothing but good thing about the wildpeaks.

my 275/65/18 General Grabber AT2 did rub slightly on the small forward mudflap on front. Simply took it off, no rub. Was going to put them back on when I put on summer tires but didn't. With a little tread wear I bet they won't rub at all now.

stock size tire, but not stock rim - think that was the issue. When I bought the set at TireRack there was a disclaimer there might be a slight issue.

275/70R18 duratracs on 18x9 Dick Cepek Matrix with +25 offset. Minor rubbing at full lock on front flap (now removed) and on fender liner it sounds like. May have to break out the heat gun.

I have 6112s up front at 1.9" for level.

Truck is dirty. Didnt have time to clean her up yet.

TWT, do you attribute the rubbing to the wheel offset? How does your wheel offset compare to TRD oem wheels? Thanks

Stock offset is listed at +60mm, New rims are +25mm. So yeah I think the offset has everything to do with the rubbing. Even with stock tires you could see them protruding from fender wheel well area by nearly 1/2" to 1". The new tires are same width just taller. But with that offset it sets the interior edge of the tire closer to the center of the wheel well.

That's a huge difference if when we're talking about a rapidly rotating mass. A lot of the current 2500/3500 trucks use sizes similar to what the Tundra uses and the sizes we're talking about here so most of the options will be load range E.

+1 my 275/70R18 duratracs are about 16lbs heavier than the stock Michelin LTX AT2 and 1 inch taller. I can definitely hear and feel the larger heavier tire when accelerating and driving. It's not enough to bother me but I can already tell my MPGs in city driving are going to decrease a good bit.
