I’m pretty bad about going back and re-torquing things. I do check my rims after a tire rotation. About 100 miles. On my suspension I used a paint pen and marked all the bolts that I torqued as well as the piece I was tightening it to. So as long as all my paint marks are lined up I know it’s still tight.

I mean anything could happen but I feel that this is pretty damn accurate. Parts can fatigue and become loose without the nuts and bolts physically loosening. But I’ve noticed this on some factory parts, having paint pen marking that they completed it. That’s what gave me the idea.

Yeah that’s true. I get it though. Eventually shit gets loose. I ride a Harley. Man, those things are notorious for loose bolts lol
