I just moved from an '08 Tundra to a '16 Tundra. When I got it home, I noticed there was no A-pillar grab handle on the driver's side. My old and new Tundras are/were both Crewmax models with the same trim level (SR5) and my '08 had grab handles on both sides. I've looked in every gen 3 Tundra I can find in parking lots and I can't find one with a driver's side grab handle, no matter the trim level. What's up with this?

Costs extra. About $120 or so, I don't recall precisely. Sorry. Honestly, I'm just being lazy and am about to pass out.:burp:

Don't feel bad. It was dropped for some reason with the 3rd gens. Stop looking. You just got your 16?? Ask the dealer to give you one, or at least ask for a Yuge... discount.

Went from a 2003 tundra sr5 to a 2016 tundra sr5, miss the dual sun visors and the a pillar driver's side grab handle, and the illuminated ignition ring. Do love the 5.7, went 15.22 @ 90 in the 1/4 mile with a full gas tank and the bed loaded with 200 lbs of stuff!

As said, doesn't come on the gen 3 Tundras. Got mine from Toyota of Cool Springs. Easy install.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Amber fashers in rear signals, driver's side grab handle, lights in door-bottoms, sliding console+ whatever else I'm forgetting, all dropped by the "Beancounters" at Toyota, while the other automakers are ADDING features every year!:notsure:

I have to agree with this and also more. My 07 limited was top of the line Tundra, had telescopic steering wheel, elec folding mirrors, 2 power seats and now they've taken all that out or added to the higher models. Same price though.

My thoughts exactly! Another item that was downgraded from my '08 SR5 is the rear seat. In my '08, the position of the rear seats could be adjusted forward and back and the seat backs could actually be reclined. Further, the seat backs could fold down to form a flat platform. None of those features are there on my '16. I love my new truck but Toyota needs to get their act together if they want to compete!

Yes I do. So far I've spent about 20 dollars on gas driving around looking. Nobody has anything that large.

I could probably drive over to Lowe's or Home Depot around here, but that's not a can of worms I want to open. I'd have to start stocking third party parts, and getting the company credit card to buy them and explaining why I'm doing so to the management while they stare at me blankly.

You can't get the Toyota ones? That's what I was thinking. Just get the ones from the passenger side.

The Toyota parts are different. All it requires is two bolts to install the handle. They are different bolts than what you have holding in the A-pillar now, and there is no U nut.

Yeah, Must be nice to have a Lowes and a Home Depot Where the drawers in the hardware section is full of stuff to buy. I've to be to 2 of each big box stores and two mom and pops in my town. And no one has the large sizes. Bolt or extruded nut. They have a ton of 1/4 and 5/16. But that's it.

Well it took two more stores. But I finally found the extruded nut. I appreciate all the help.
