I hate them too. I don't drink, but there is nothing worse than driving home from the airport (or wherever) at 3am and being detained and having to justify my innocence. I am respectful to the police, but when they tell me at 3 am that my eyes are red, I feel like screaming.

The manager of a bar in my area drives a black Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. One time he flung his door open while I was driving past and I almost ripped it off!

I drink, but I always call an Uber. I've never encountered a DUI checkpoint as an Uber passenger, but I have seen traffic stops while taking an Uber home where the driver is doing the field sobriety tests or getting arrested. I always end up laughing my drunk ass off from comfort of the Uber, because they're probably going to lose their license while I'm going home to sleep and then drive myself to work the next morning!

This is more of an amusement than a pet peeve. Today, I was on Route 611 (residents of the Philly area will know what road this is) driving to work and the line of cars in front of me stopped rather abruptly for a light that was turning red. I really had to slam on the brakes myself, but I came to a stop with a good two or three feet between my truck and the silver Jeep Compass in front of me. There was a woman in a green 1999-2002ish Honda Accord behind me, and I was convinced she was about to rear-end me. I braced for impact, and she braked so hard that the ass end of her car went up in the air, but she realized she didn't have enough space and turned left at the last possible moment. She probably would have ended up with her front end under my truck if she hadn't turned when she did.

Best part? I caught the whole thing on my dashcam!

Bicycle riders on the road when there are trails to ride 15 feet away. Think they own the road. Just cause you have a fancy body suit doesn’t make you special. The nerve of these folks sends me over. I’m done. Thanks

    My pet peeves

People who take it personally when you honk at them. The horn means "alert", not F your mother.

People who fight the flow of traffic... Slow drivers and retards on crotch rockets.

People who do not use turn signals.

10 and 2 mouth breathers who sit at traffic lights for 3 minutes before realizing the light is green.

People who drive without insurance... Your license should be revoked, forever, and your car should be crushed.

People who live in a place where winter lasts for 5 months out of the year and after 2 minutes of sunshine and dry roads completely forget how to drive in bad weather.

People who try to multitask while driving.

People who insist on running up my ass at 80mph before changing lanes, usually inches from my bumper.

People who don't understand how a four way stop works.

People who don't know how to merge and people who won't move over to let someone merge.

People who can't get up to speed when entering a highway.

Almost anyone at a round about. We have a ton of them in Wisconsin and they're all just a circle track for morons.

Any distracted or impaired driver is a major pet peeve to me not to mention a major safety issue.

I completely disagree on the sobriety check point issue. Anything to get drunk (or buzzed) drivers off the road is ok with me. A small in convenience to save lives.

I see this a lot too. Man, if that air bag ever goes off, that person is going to be wheelchair bound for a long time, and have knee caps for teeth.

What people do on round abouts is hilarious. The other day, I saw a lady put her left turn signal on to go into a one lane round about. And then there are the people who pull up to an empty round about and stop before proceeding. Those are just a couple of examples. It's insane.

This one is, by my own admission, unreasonable, but it still pisses me off:

When you are going straight through a red light, and there’s no traffic, don’t get in the right hand lane. Now I have to wait for the light before I can turn right, and I’m a HUNDRED YARDS FROM MY F-ING OFFICE AND YOU JUST COST ME THREE MINUTES YOU SON OF A BITCH.

When 2 people who like to go 35 mph in a 45 mph zone during morning rush hour, drive along side by side, in the right and left lane, holding up 300+ people behind them(all of them going somewhere that requires being on time) that aspire to do the speed limit.
