223A8BC1-DC43-46DA-9E56-00E8E0609C50.jpg i pulled my back two tires off yesterday to spray brake kleen on them as they were squealing a bit and appeared fairly dirty. Well squealing is gone but now it’s making a wierd like growling noise when the brakes are applied. Again all I did was spray them down anything I did wrong. Attached is a pic looking through the inspection port on the caliper the pads look decent to me unless I’m misinformed.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Me personally I would pull wheels again an really check brakes specifically the inside pads my outside looked good too but inside was really low an at 65k I wouldn't hurt to do brakes all the way around but that's just me

That picture is of the inner brake pad . It’s really hard to tell u can only see so much without tearing them apart . Do you think just change pads or change rotors and pads.

It don't take much to pull calipers and check then by observation make decision me personally I've done my pads at 40k an in spring will be doing pads an rotors was going to go with power stop kit but living in central new York I'm going with raybesto

Had you just sprayed them? They look wet with oil.

In the picture yes but that was yesterday and they did it earlier today but just know when I drove it I didn’t hear a thing. I’m thinking about just throwing new pads in there to be on the safe side

I think you washed/sprayed a little debris on to the pad surface. And then it worked itself out. I usually don’t clean my calipers or pads unless new ones are going in. I never felt the need to. The only type of cleaning mine will get, is when I wash my truck and spray everything down rinsing out the old brake dust. That said, I don’t think you did any damage.

Some brake cleaners leave a film. You are supposed to wipe it off after spraying it on. Read the instructions on the can you might have that kind.
