I drove my 2WD TRD out, followed behind @sdde4n a ways behind and just about 5 mph slower than the SGU guys as we crossed from Plaster City over to the meet spot. That wasn't rough and would be no problem for any kind of lift. But to be fair, we went that fast because we could hear the SGU guys on the radio not calling out obstacles, so we knew the route was clear of ditches or tire killers. It was basically a fire road, mainly flat, mostly straight, with high berms on both sides, and a bit sandy in the turns.

Your friend  could probably drive a stock 4x4 or even a spacer lift about anywhere out there to watch other guys without spacer lifts jump and play (or come solo and probably score a ride). BUT, trying to follow the SGU guys at any kind of speed speed on anything other than a well-maintained fire road is a risky gamble. Well. Unless you bet on breaking your your friend's shocks; then it's a pretty fair gamble. But not a good win. o_O

Hmmm I’m keeping my eyes open as I have seen a couple guys saying they are going LT and then might sale their MT. If something at a great price pops up I’ll jump on it as I’m already asking a ton of question to @papasmurf to get my truck back with no bracket lifts lol. If I can’t find anything at a decent price then I’ll probably have to wait till BF as that’s when I saw some good discounts on the parts I need.

It takes real discipline to not go faster in hopes of having more fun. That's where I went wrong. I felt like the kid in the Frosted Flakes commercial, "Man, Tony, those guys are fast!" If we were just hanging out at Superstition all day and messing around on the dunes, that'd be another story.

Yup. Any of us in the Shenanigans crowd could have a great time doing this meet again next year, if invited. Just need to watch the SGU expo at the beginning, then hang with the Tacos after that.

The Taco guys/ gals were a friendly bunch and all take care of each other, and welcomed me even though only @eccracer Mike (and a couple guys I met on runs before, with him) knew me. Thank you @eccracer104 for inviting us, and for the welcome. Your (other) friends are great (too)! I really enjoyed seeing previous acquaintances again ("Hey, Colton!":drunk:) and meeting Bree.

You're always a welcomed addition! Everyone loves you! And I quote "Sunnier is a badass!" - heard this from multiple people on several occasions!

This trip will definitely take place again next year, but sounds like we'll do it again sooner. There's a taco guy whose got some buddies in AZ that want to go, so they're also talking about making another run out sooner. And clearly @papasmurf and @osidepunker need some jumping videos!

If anyone was interested, a little birdie tells me those were inert bombs made of cement called "shapes", most likely dropped by T-45s.

you are correct about the ord... i thought they were f4's but you are right more likely the t-45's

that being said those inert bombs will still cause damage! LOL

I'm so glad you made it out to play, Francis!

Thanks for those vids. Funny though, how video never captures how wild it is in person. That first clip of Bruce's truck shows where I parked my truck as a barrier at the side of the camp, between the slow-down run after the jump, and the campsite of a family with very young kids (that, I later realized were not with the Taco group).

Their son, probably 4y.o., (and me too-- LOL!) was vibrating with excitement watching @osidepunker and @papasmurf come off those jumps, then up that little incline opposite.

I assume you talk to the AZ Tacoma World guys? And/or the idpor.com Taco guys? I just moved away from AZ but wheel and shoot the shit with most of those guys. I'd like to come out next year if this is an annual thing. I miss my Uberfarhts... :sadviolin:

Yes and no lol. I know the "trouble makers" on TW switched over to IDPOR, don't talk to the AZ crowd much since I don't find myself in their neck of the woods often, but familiar!

Let me know on the next one! I love Anza, I been wheeling there since 2013 when The Truck was bone stock! But for some reason I haven't explored Superstition area that much.

I'm going to work on my valving again. Going back to flutters on my bypasses and need to put the top off shims back on. Then maybe I can do some real jumps. Right now I'm blowing through the front on the big stuff

@eccracer104 , there was a Taco guy out there with a pretty big telephoto lens when the boys were hittin the jumps. Any chance that guy has some shots he'd be willing to share on here? I never met him, but he drove the mostly stock MGM Taco with TRD package.
