Bigger gas tank ??

Anyone got any ideas on a cheaper bigger gas tank ? I have the 2014 , only thing I don't like is small tank going on long trips . What's my options , would the new 2016 tanks fit on it ?????

 

Not cheap but you can get 46 gallon transfer flow tank.

 

Back in the day it was easy to get a bed mounted gas tank. 70's. I think I paid $150 for everything. 50 gallons. 1975 actually. Not now. No custom made anymore. Liability/legal issues. Titan tank^^^^^ as mentioned above or save a lot $$ and get some RotoPax fuel/water containers.

 

Toyota makes a 36 or 38 gallon for the 2016 Tundra. I don't see how it could be a problem for you to get one installed from them.

The 2016 trucks have a 38 gallon tank as standard, I don't see how they won't install one for you after you buy it, although they would likely charge for labour.

 

My '15 CM, fill up every 4 days, wish i have bigger tank.

 

Don't forget though, You still have 5 gallons when it says "zero miles to empty"

Have you remedied this? I have the same issue. I just relocated to Southern California and if I drive my truck to work, it's 72miles one way

 

Running the 46 Gallon TranferFlow tank and havent looked back. Good investment of $1200 IMO, especially if you do it when the truck is new and keep it a while and drive a lot.
When towing and getting 8mpg the stock 26gallon (20 gal to fuel light) tank goes by way too fast, especially in rural areas like out here crossing NV to UT or AZ. My 46 gallon tank has impressed with range when towing and even better when empty. Fuel light comes on around 39 gallons, multiply by my 8mpg towing and my 16 cruising empty(lifted on 35's) and I get 312 and 624 miles. Pretty respectable range
