The Prius is a great car for what it is and its intended purpose. It's the vagina hat wearing, dingbat drivers that gave it a bad name.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
Looks like a current (3rd gen) cab, but the rims are 6 lug which is interesting.

maybe we are getting old school round halogen headlights like a 80s Jeep... rather than advancing the product line Toyota is thinking outside the box and rolling it back 30 years.

This image makes me think they are testing electric drive or something.

You say that, but my friends 17 Rebel Ram is a damn nice truck. FCA quality aside, it puts any Tundra to shame when it comes to interior and comfort. Plus I think the Ram looks cool.

That's if you want a premium of comfort and interior over drive train reliability. Tundra puts any Fiat made truck drive train to shame IMHO. I don't give a rats behind how cool my truck looks compared to Fiat trucks' look.

I'm old school Josh. I want a truck without nannies and a simple cab. A manual transmission. I really liked my dads 1974 new 4X4 Power Wagon. Simple and sweet..

That's cool so I won't feel bad for them in a few years when I see them broke down on the side of the road. I'll know that they are nice and comfy sitting there waiting on the wrecker ;)

    A bunch
Car and Driver put the photos out.

The grille is the same as mine is, has towing mirrors that are quite obviously Tundra, and Crewmax style with door handles that again are dead giveaways that it is a Tundra. Looks like they are primarily testing something in the back end on a 3rd Gen.

I get it. I hate FCA as much as anyone and won’t buy their stuff. But don’t try and act like Toyota couldn’t learn a few things from the makers of current domestic trucks. Because other than resale and reliability the Toyota is getting dogged by the average consumer who buys into the JD Power best in initial quality awards.

Reliability is my main concern. But I love a nice ride as much as the next guy. The Tundra is awesome and I’m planning on keeping it long term. But I also hope the new model captures the fire that the 07 did with the market in features and specs.

IRS would be great option, or at least coil spring/air ride. I've always wanted to swap in the sequoia IRS in one of my Tundras. Looks like same cab with front and rear redesign. FJ like headlights, ram mustache grille? Interesting stuff.

I'll gladly take a Tundra with IRS or coils/air, electric motors and turbo 6. I've had 4 with 5.7s and absolutely love them, but I realize the potential in a turbo platform like the Ecoboosts with simple mods and tuning

I don’t know why everyone is dogging on electric so much. Do you all realize how much power and torque you can get in an instant with an electric motor? We have electric motors at work that turn unbelievable amounts of weight and forces acting’s against them, and they do it as soon as you hit start. I believe electric vehicles will be the future and be prepared to be amazed. Check out the new Rivian truck.

It's not all magic. I'm an industrial electrician and work with motors all day long. The magic is more in the gear ratios than the motor.

I could definitely see Toyota doing a hybrid. I would hope it’s not a hybrid only vehicle, the option would be nice. I just don’t want them to go more car like with the redesign. IRS would be a mistake. The truck needs to be more heavy duty. More payload and towing is what the truck needs to compete.

Part of me is scared the new 4Runner and Tundra are gonna be huge letdowns though. I’m already kinda bummed on the Supra not being A) Japanese and B) not on par with the flagship Honda and Nissan offerings. I was really hoping for something that would compete with the GTR and not a rebadged BMW M4.

Hopefully Toyota doesn’t copy an F150 from 20 years ago like Nissan did.
