If I come across any of them in any specific store I’ll let you know, so you can check in your area.

Lol i did not know people had issues with those. I picked up some spray bottles from sams today to give them a try. Sams classifies them as commercial grade bottles. They were only 7 bucks for a 6 pack so I figured it would be worth a shot. I will report back with my findings

If they are the ones I got there, take them back. As soon as you squeeze the trigger the lid pops off.

So I have a bunch of light scratches on the side of my Tundra. They appear to just be in the clear coat. I’ve been using ScratchX on them but they keep showing after washes. Any ideas as to what else I can try before I take it to have them buffed out? I’d try power buffing them myself but I’ve never used one so I don’t trust myself not buffing too much.

ScratchX does work well, but better with a DA polisher. It’s very hard to get them out by hand. I’m not an expert on using one, but I’ve done it enough to know it’s pretty difficult to do damage with one. They’ll stop spinning if you push to hard.
Won’t say they are fool proof, but I’ve yet to hurt anything with one, and I’m a complete amateur with them. A cheap Harbor Freight one with pads can be had for less than 80 bucks, or you could buy a better one depending on your budget.
That said, if you’re not having your whole truck done, just a few light scratches, a professional detailer isn’t likely to charge much. I like having my own, just so I can keep practicing and learning. I also use it to polish my granite countertops.

Paint correction by hand can be tough. I've found the clear coat on my 2013 Tundra to be on the soft side, and have gotten very good results with a (Griots) DA polisher. You almost have to try and damage your paint in order to do so with a free-spinning DA. If you're sheepish or unsure about using one, have the truck professionally detailed and the paint corrected. Be prepared to part with some money, as legitimate detailers typically get a premium for correction. You'll need to refine your wash process in order to keep these scratches from returning.

When I first got my DA, I practiced on my lawn tractor. I know guys who went to local salvage yards and got hoods to use for practice. The process is not as intimidating as you might think, and keeping my family's vehicles looking good is like therapy for me.

Same here. Love spending time keeping the fleet looking great. Getting some parts from the junkyard to practice polishing with has been on my list for quite a while.

Got leather installed in my truck this weekend! Before installing the seats back into the truck the installer wiped down all my seats with mineral spirits. I asked him why, and he stated that it was to remove any old oils and essentially strip them down before applying conditioner. He then went on and said that any part of the interior can be cleaned with mineral spirits since it won’t stains, discolor, or damage any paints, plastics, or carpets. Is this true? I’m a little reluctant to believe him but I mean he did wipe down the seats in front of me lol. I've never heard of anyone using mineral spirits for general cleaning, but that doesn't mean that it isn't done or can't be done. Provided you keep up with them, your new leather should only need gentle cleaning and conditioning, and there are tons of products out there specifically designed for that. The same goes for the rest of your interior....keep up with it and a light-duty cleaner is all you will need.....such as McKees Fast Interior Detailer. I've seen APCs (all purpose cleaners), stain plastic interior panels, even when diluted as much as 10 to 1.

Any suggested products or methods to clean a puke stain off fabric interior? Not a big spot but it's starting to take color.

How old is it? Is it on the seats or carpet?

It may sound simple, but I have always found that a little Dawn dish washing soap w/a clean cloth and cold water takes out everything. I just used it on my seat when my sister got green cupcake icing all over it, and i didn't notice it until 2 days later. It came out perfect and you would never know. Doesn't even take any harsh rubbing.

I use Meguiars APC (concentrated so dilute 10:1) and OXO good grips on everything. Always works.

You should have good luck with both. I personally use their "total interior" cleaner. Haven't had any issues yet, and I've also been able to remove headliner stains with it. Is there a reason why they recommend that exterior detailer?

While I'm reasonably certain it's safe for ceramic coatings, the simple answer is because they sell it. It is also a spray sealant, so you will get a little from both the quick detailer/cleaning side and the spray sealant/protection side.

Including a polisher, or do you just need the compound / polish?
