Front Sway Bar

Are the front TRD sway bars worth it?? I have the rear and noticed a difference for sure, but will the front be noticeable??

 

I noticed a positive improvement with the front sway bar. The stock sway bar is tubular and the TRD is solid and has significantly more weight. So it is subjective to 'feel' but theoretically based on the material it should improve the performance. Other things to impact it would be if you have a lift, larger tires, etc.

I do have a 3 inch spacer in the front and 35's so it would help out?

It will make the steering feel a little tighter. I run both front and rear with a 3 inch spacer up front and 2 inch blocks in the rear with 34's.

I too have the TRD front swayer on my gen. 3 2017 4WD. Huge difference. Know that when you hit a moderate bump in the road, especially at an angle, she's gonna "skip" more than she's gonna "absorb."

 

I'm on a 3 in the front and 1 in the back so we probably have a similar ride. Thanks for the link sir!

totally off topic but do any of you have the TRD Pro intake

 

did you replace the factory bar with a TRD? Mine has a front sway bar from the factory.

 

I only have the rear TRD sway bar. I am going to buy the front TRD sway bar. from the feed back and other posts everyone says that it stiffens up the turning. which is what I want. So I am going for it

 

From what I've read, its totally aesthetic - Red TRD markings on the cover.
The stock air intake is already a CAI that can be modified with a bigger nozzle that goes into the fender well for more air intake + K&N or TRD filter.

Just remove it, much more comfortable ride with no front sway bar. I had the rear too and took them both off, it’s not a race truck so I don’t drive irresponsibly and it makes the kings free to do their thing.

 

I am under the impression that the TRD OffRoad models do not have a front sway bar. Is that correct?

 

Every Tundra will come with a stock front sway bar. The Sport comes with a slightly thicker red front bar, as well as a rear.

Love it. I had it in my 16 Platinum. Before I traded it in I took it out and now it’s in my 19.

 

Does it make a difference? Do you feel a difference

 

Not a huge difference but a little bit in my opinion. I do like the way it looks though. It kind of dresses up the engine bay a little bit.

 

I have front and rear TRD sway bars with a 5100 bilstein level, I can tell a difference and love the way it handles.

 

Yeah it does have a really nice look. Did you tune it?
