i have a 14 TRD. I have upgraded to 18”x9” KD Monster 2 rims with BFG 305/65. Been back and forth with shop numerous times because of wheel shake. Thinking of changing my rims out. We have gone through 8, yes 8 rims to get 2 that balance alone. I am done with the XD brand, any suggestions on wheel brands for me to consider? I thought about buying another set of stock TRD rims, but they aren’t wide enough for the tires.

Are you sure it's the wheels and not the tires? I ask because every set of BFGs I've ever gotten has always had balancing issues, not that that's stopped me from continuing to get them, though.

Oh, and as for wheel suggestions, I've always liked how Methods look. The SCS wheels look pretty nice, too.

I’ve always had good rims from KMC. Specifically XD rockstars 1 & 3. If I had to go elsewhere for 18s, I’d pick methods. Or TRD with wheel spacers.

The BFG KO2's are a very heavy tire comparatively due to the amount of rubber they use to build them. Because of that you definitely need a truly experienced tire guy to balance them correctly and a "newer" well made balancer. When the dealership went to put mine on the initial tech was having problems and the senior tech/foreman came and figured out for the '19 TRD rims the wheels needed to be reversed from the usual way of mounting on the balancer. Took much less weights and rides like a dream well into the 80 plus mph.

Does anyone know if 35’s will fit without a lift or leveling kit?

As far as I know from my researched 35’s will not fit without a lift. I’m planning to do a leveling kits 2’ front to fit my 295/70R18 which equivalent to 34ish with minor trimming and remove the front mud flaps.

What do spacers do? I just put on 275/60/20 and I had to remove the front mud flap and probably will need to remove the front rear mud flap. I have black Rhino Traverse +25 offset. I was really surprised to see that they were rubbing.

Doubt it's the wheels, but Method makes good ones. Make sure the shop is doing a road force balance, otherwise find a new shop. I had BFG KO2's (not as large as yours tho) before the Nitto's I have now and didn't have any issues w/balancing.
