My 18 Tundra came with the 20 inch TSS rims and Goodyear AT w/ Kevlar tires. These tires seem to transmit a lot more vibration through the steering wheel than the KO2s on my previous 16. And even though the tread is not that aggressive, they seem louder. Anyone else have these tires?

Why is does it seem to be an almost Cult Following for BF Goodrich KO2's??? Dealership installed a set of 285/55/20 D Rated on Thursday, Friday AM, Dealership was removing the set. Rough, traction in the dry was worse than the brand new stock Bridgestones, not to mention in the short 10 mile ride, MPG's dropped 1.5-2mpg

Since you've had them for a bit how do you like the Ridge's now? IYO, are they worth the extra $ over the Duratracs? Them two along with Cooper SST Pro is what I'm looking at when I finally put a 3/1 kit on in the very near future.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
They have been great so far. Maybe 6k on them now. Haven’t seen much weather, mud, rock or dirt yet. Wear is good and even so far.

Been on Michelins 285/75/R16 LTX M/S AT (Yes they rub the frame slightly) for 12 years now. The first set from 2007 were the best as the formulation was not what the new ‘eco friendly’ version comes in now.

The 2007 tires (smelled new for 4 years - you know that smell) had close to 70k on them before having to replace only because of (slight) dry rot around the sidewall. The tread was only half worn! Better safe than sorry when towing so replaced with a newer set.

The new 2015 Michelins AT ‘eco formula’ have not performed as well. They have worn faster and have not been as grippy. Overall I’m still pleased with the Michelins AT as they are used for pavement towing and sand exclusively. Soft cushy riding and pretty quiet in the cab. Handles nicely all around weather conditions.

How quiet are they? I've heard the the Duratracs are quiet and the Cooper's have a hum. What does the master recommended for a DD with occasionally green and blue trails?

I've been very happy with my Ridge Grapplers so far. I have right at 5k miles on them. They do have a little noise but to be honest, it's been so long since my truck was stock or didn't have noise until I don't even notice it. What noise there is does not bother me one bit.

I've been running the Nitto Exo Grapplers AWT on my truck for ~26k miles. These are studable and are snow flake rated. I have had 4 Tundras now and I have used nearly every Nitto tire on a Tundra (Nitto Mud Grappler, Nitto Trail Grappler, and Nitto Terra Grappler). So far I am very impressed with these tires. They handle great in the water compared to my previous tires, and they are the best tire I have had in the snow. With my mud and trail grapplers, I'd have to go into 4x4 hi in snow. With the exo grapplers I am able to tackle majority of it in 2wd with autolsd turned on. They are surprisingly good off road, they have never had any problems on my farm with mud and I have yet to get stuck with these tires.

These tires come brand new with 18.4 tread depth, at my last service they said my tires have 12/13 remaining after 26k miles. I should easily get 50k+ out of these tires.

I would buy these again simply for the snow performance, but I kinda want to try to ridge grapplers since they get such great reviews.

While my fuelly isn't complete, you can see I get decent fuel economy with these Exo Grapplers, much better comapred to the trail and mud grapplers i had prior. I have these in LT275/65R20 (34.33"x10.98" per Nitto)

I haven't ran across anyone with the dura grapplers (may I am just blind) here in the forums and was curious if anyone had an expierence with them. Reviews look stellar and I like the look. Though I get two different pictures when shopping online.. lol So that tossed up some redflags. Maybe it is just 6am and I haven't finished my coffee yet lol But the picture walmart shows vs. Discounttiredirect.com is way off. Maybe a different year model? Or one has the wrong pic?Screenshot_20180928-060446_Samsung Internet.jpg Screenshot_20180928-060529_Samsung Internet.jpg Screenshot_20180928-060430_Samsung Internet.jpg

Slapping these on next week. Stupid cheap 35s. Figured if I hate them, oh well it was $650 delivered. Just got them in. They look great! Hercules Ironman 35x12.5 r18. I’ll need to upgrade my paper speakers to drown out the tires!

I have around 10k miles on my Hankook Dynapro AT-M's and I'm pretty happy with them. I haven't found any deep snow but I did have them on some snow/ice and they performed well. They seem to be holding up well and they aren't terribly loud.

I've had experience with the falken wildpeak at3s my gf had them on her 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 and in the wisconsin winter's she didn't have any issues with the snow or mudd they were aggressive enough for her and she loved them

How did she find gas mileage? Can anyone shine some light on the Wildpeaks on their 07-13 Tundra with winter driving and gas consumption?

Also anyone have any experience with the Toyo Open Country C/T's?

Long story short I'm running 275/70R18 Duratracs right now and they are decent but not great. They are reminding me of K02's... ie. Started off amazing but after a year the compound has hardened up a bit and they have become a little slippery in the snow and slush. This could be the case for all A/T type tires, I'm not sure as I have only personally had K02's and Goodyear Wrangers.

She had that cylinder deactivation around 300miles but then she started losing another cylinder after the warranty so she didn't have the truck with those tires much longer

Have had falken wildpeak at3ws for 20,000 miles now. I have zero complaints.
They are great in the rain, mud, sand, and snow.
These will definitely be my go to tire from now on.

Bfg ko2’s are so overrated. I don’t know why they have such a cult following.

Brian, (csuviper) how were you able to do 35's on your rig with just a 2.5" lift? Everyone that I have spoken to says that will not work. Or am I missing something in the information about your setup?
I am looking at a Fox Coilover 3" lift but I am being told that I can only do 33's at the most. 4X4's have an inch more height from the factory so can that be considered another 1" of lift?
    BTW, nice truck!!!

Rock Warrior wheels, +50 offset. Had to trim the skid plate a little on each side, as they were rubbing with my Wrangler MTRs. Also had Open Countrys and Terra Grapplers, all without rubbing for the most part. Reverse with a hard turn would rub minimally, no issues otherwise

I’ve always been a fan of the BFG all terrain. Been using those for a decade now with no regrets. Plus the white letter makes me like them even more.

Anyone ever seen some Nittos with white letters?

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
So this is a long thread so hopefully Im not repeating but I just scored a discount code and had GoodYear Wrangler DuraTracs on 2/1/19

They have a rebate of $80 and also a code that gives you an additional 20% off.

The tires are rated for mud and snow. The snowflake and mountain are imprinted on the tires. GoodYear also has a 50,000 mile warranty.

If interested in saving than it’s a hell of a deal.

Tread patterns that pack with snow versus ejecting it are better in the snow so I can understand why the Exo Grapplers do better than the others. I am still a little over a year from getting new tires. I was thinkin ST Maxx because I had them on the Tacoma and they did well for the stuff I get in to. After seeing the price difference between the STT Pro and the ST Maxx I might just go with the Pro.
