Hello everyone, hope all is well. I have a 3rd Gen and this being my second tundra. I just can't get over the lock and unlock beep, truck looks too aggressive to sound that way:cool:. I have only found threads on how disable it, now yes, I do want to disable it. But would rather the horn be the locking sound. Does anyone have any ideas if this can be done or has been done? Thank you thank you:)

Guys who have Techstream have disabled it. In my case, I took it to my dealer during scheduled maintenance and asked them to disable that and I'm fairly certain that they used Techstream...Btw, this is for my 17 Pro.

It's safe to say that this can be achieved on your truck through the same means.

Well I am sure that it can be done! The easy answer is to tap into whatever power source the beeper was using and wire it to the horn. But I'm no electrical engineer so I can't be of very much help.

Settings are thru stereo. Vehicle settings. Will give option of beep on/off. You can’t have it beep to lock but not beep to unlock. Only beep on/off for both functions.

But is there a hack to change/pick the sound?

Following this. I would prefer a louder sound. I can actually hear my pop and lock tailgate lock better that the stock tundra piezo lock unlock sound.

I can only believe there is a sound making device that can be swapped in

Yup. I’ve done this through the infotainment screen as noted. I find the whole beep/honk/fart sound ridiculous.
