Considering going the same route with the bronze color. You have a lift? Love the look.

Thanks! I think bronze would look great. I have Bilstein 6112s set at 1.9” up front, stock height in the back with 5160s. No rubbing.

Where you able to fix your TSS issues? I have the same exact truck and like the tire and rim set up you have.

    Outstanding thread - very helpful
I have a 2007 Crewmax 5.7ltr. that is getting a frame replacement in late February (Toyota warranty). At that time they will install a ToyTec 3/1 (Eibach) suspension upgrade. I am having the OE 18" wheels stripped and powder coated (color match to truck) and want an opinion on the max size tire I can accommodate without any trimming or modification.

Sweet setup! I'm seriously considering the Icon wheels. Only ones I've found so far with +30 offset, I don't want the tires sticking out past the stock fenders, get enough scuffs from flying rocks on the gravel driveway with factory wheels/tires.

Thanks! I really like these 17” wheels! I think mine are +25 offset, though. The tires stick out a tad bit.

Hey fellas, just bought some king coilovers, that should give me about 2.5-3” of loft in the front. Also bought some 20X9 0 offset wheels to go with some 33” Toyos anyone foresee any rubbing or major trimming that will need to be done?

No metal trimming, Trimmed front part of wheel well about a half inch in spots that was rubbing. Also used heat gun and pushed them in, Took mudflaps off in front.

Just picked up 18x9 wheels with 5.71 back spacing and putting a 2-3" leveling kit on next week. I have surfed through the posts on tire sizes but get more confused the more I read. Just want to know how big of a tire I can put on without trimming any more then a little plastic and removing mud flaps (just took them off the front) with these wheels and a leveling kit. I like the wide stance look. Thanks for the help. This site has been my new addiction since I bought my first 2nd gen Tundra a few weeks ago.

Man there is so much info here it gets confusing! If I wanted to install 295/70-18's on my 16 SR5 TRD off-road OEM wheels, what would be the minimum I'd have to do to the truck to avoid clearance issues, be safe and still handle as good as it did on stock tires?
If it requires any cutting or bumper spacers what size tire would I have to go with on those wheels to prevent those two things?

So your backspacing is 5.7 and a 9 inch width wheel thats about a +20 offset. Thats not gonna give you a stance since its a postive offset its going to suck in the rim. Lets say you get a 3" front level spacer, you can run a 33"(295/65/18) without rubbing with your mud flaps on. But if your looking for a bigger tire then i would go with a 34 at least. With a positive offset you can run a 295/70/18 which comes out to be a 34.3. You can run that tire with minor trimming with your mudflaps off. If you want a wide stance look your going to have to run wheel spacers (DONT BUY EBAY SPACERS) Pushing out the wheel at all is going to increase the chance of you going to have to trim. Also if you pick a skinnier tire you can run a taller tire, but if you like the meat look on the tire i dont suggest going below a 295 width.

Ok awesome. Thanks for the info and the reply. When I did the math I got +18 offset. I thought that would push them out a little and make it to where I could run a bigger tire. What spacers do you suggest? And what size? Also how will the spacers effect what size tire I can put on? I know you said it will increase the chance of rubbing, I thought it do the opposite. So 295/70/18 sounds like the plan for now. I already removed the mud flaps if I put them on before I get the 3" front leveling kit can I run them with some plastic trimming now or do I have to wait for 3" kit to come in??

I suggest BORA spacers there gonna have a price tag on them but there one of the best on the market. It just depends what size, the 1.75" spacer is going to probably be the best option for a good stance. I thought the same thing about spacers, It makes sense that pushing out the wheel will decrease your chance of rubbing. Well thats incorrect, I dont know the geometry on why you rub more but I know if you push the wheel out at all your going to increase the chance of rubbing. Well you can run the 295/70/18 inch tire without a leveling kit but your turn radius is going to be very small and you might risk rubbing on your bumper. I would wait for the kit to come in just so you dont damage anything, but if you cant wait you could do some major trimming to get them to fit.

Ok I will probably just wait then and put the leveling kit on first. It should be here any day. I'm torn on the spacers. If all spacers do is make the stance look wider and they do nothing to benifit anything else then I may skip that idea. Thanks again for the info and help. Felt like I was spinning my wheels for a min. I thought it was pretty easy to understand but the front of these Tundras had me lost lol.

Spacers aren’t a bad investment, it really gives ur truck a nice mean look. But even with your +20 offset your still going to have a small lip so I would just see how they look when you get everything on. Good Luck!

Y'all might hate me for asking this, but I went through the entire list on page 1, and can't find the answer to my question.

I have a 2019 TRD Pro, and I want to get some new tires that are more aggressive looking.

What is the biggest size that will fit the stock TRD rims without any rubbing?

Recommendations welcomed. Thank you all so much!

Went with 275/70/18 KO2's I got used for $10 each from a buddy. Took the front mud flaps off. No rubbing at all. Gonna go with 295/70/18 after the leveling kit.

My guess is 295/70/18 with the Pro’s 2” of front lift. A slightly smaller size that should also fit is 285/70/18, but not much of a selection in that size and they’re expensive.

I have Nitto Ridge Grappler 275/70 R18 on Method MR309's at +18 offset. For the lift I have the 6112's set at 2" in the front and the rear has just 5160's. It definitely rubs. I took off the front mud flap from the front wheel wells, but still rubs at about 3/4 turn. It can be a pain in the tight California parking lots. I did some initial melting of the wheel wells, but I could probably use more. The stance is nice and I get complements about them. Doesn't stick out quite far enough to need flares.

I’ve got the same wheels but 285s, I rubbed up front as well. Just had to do a little plastic trimming but I’m clear about an inch now
