Doesn’t even resemble the original styling of the Supra, looks like a Lexus rc mixed with a bmw z

Looks good to me... but this quote tells me WAIT

Could there be a Toyota in-house developed motor in the works?

I guess I am the only one that thinks it looks good! Reminds me of a miniature Dodge Viper. I am old school though and think a sports car should have at least a V8 engine. I know that there are much quicker vehicles that have a 4 cylinder or V6 but there is just something about the sounds of those V8 and 10 engines. It also should be RWD...imo

I have to say. I like it. My wifes 2015 Scion TC has the 2.5l w/a real transmission. And it is a great grocery runner for tampoons and toliet paper. Light weight, great on gas (30 mpg), fun to drive vs big truck. I will wait till year 2 of production. Work the kinks out. Wifey wants the faster t/p pickup tool as well. Seems price is a little high, heh?

Because there hasn’t been a Supra for many years...nothing to ruin. But nice mime nonetheless.

Only cause there hasn’t been a Supra for many years don’t mean they had to make a BMW and throw Toyota logo on it.

    BMW pffft completely ruined!

I don’t think it does otpn a sense. Isn’t it double clutch whatever like most of the other tech sports cars these days?

They didn’t. Toyota designed it and BMW built it.

Automatics have come a LONG way since the slushbox days, some sports cars these days are so fast that a manual slows them down significantly.

    Yep, this.
Just check out the new Porchse.
And honestly - we all think we can bang the shit out of a manual, but after multiple STI losses while stomping on the skinny in my auto trans Lexus - has proved many wrong.
I drove manuals only for 15 years, and always said I’ll never own an auto trans.
    Tech changes.
I agree manual on a fun level, but paddles help a bunch. I did a sweet run in a R8 Audi with the V10 Lamborghini- and thank god that wasn’t a manual.
I could barely figure out the paddle shifters LMAO.
