Last week $434 in wire damage to the truck.. today I found this.. how do I keep them off my truck.
Have anyone used Bitter apple in their engine bay. I have to be careful as I have young kids.

Mice? I believe there are several threads in the forum regarding how to get rid or prevent mice in the truck.

I just bought that stuff today to spray my daughter's car. They ate the fuel injector wiring.

Peppermint oil or extract for a couple of weeks will get rid of your mouse problems.
    It’s available everywhere, and inexpensive.

Amazon is showing peppermint oil and Exterminators Choice often being bought together for a double whammy.

Thank you all, I just ordered that. The squirrels have become more obsessed with my truck then me. They chewed up the wires to the front injector on the passenger side.

I bought the Exterminators Choice after $600 in wiring repair to my wife's CRV due to squirrels. Ingredients include peppermint, garlic and lemon(?) essential oils. When I spray it it most just smells like mint. I may just try to blend my own in the future. I also bought poison blocks but haven't seen them eating any yet. Also have a loaded .22 at the ready! Darn squirrels, get off my lawn!

Lay a sheet of Bounce Fabric Softener across battery, and on top of engine cover. Critters don’t like the fragrance for some reason. It works.

Drop a fart in your truck and shut the door. Works for me, but the next morning is uh... a shocker.

My parents have a neighbor who has been trapping and relocating squirrels for a long time. She has basically eradicated them over time. YMMV.

I had to buy repair my wiring after the same thing happened to me. Cost me about 100 bucks vs the 1600 the dealer wanted.

Irish soap, dog hair, dryer sheets, peppermint oil.... all options I use them all.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but on my previous car, mice chewed up the battery cables so we made two fabric bags with lavendar in them and attached them to the shock towers in the engine bay. Never had a problem with mice again.

It could’ve been worse, my neighbor had one burry itself in the firewall of his Cherokee and it died in there.... the smell is still in there and everything was replaced for a couple grand, and thoroughly cleaned 3 weeks ago
