Yes. I’m pretty sure I’ve looked into every fender available. Lol.
I like the steel flat fenders from nemesis, but they aren’t wide enough. I told my gf she could choose fenders since she drives it most now that we have the Tundra. She wanted tire coverage and body colored. Her two favorites were the ones we got from Wild Boar and the Mopar Highline series.
These are 2” wider than stock, and sit 4.5” higher. Since we tow it, we didn’t want it lifted...so we decided on a LCOG build with 35s and no lift.

    Here is their website.

    https://www.nem-ind.com/

I have been out with Rob the green JKU and watched him just beat on that aluminum body protection. CRAWL magazine was out with us for Rock Junction event. Good times.

GenRight has been good to me. I have beat and trashed on my Hi-Line fenders and have nothing but good things to say about their products. Besides, Tony is one of the coolest people in the Jeep/Off-Road community.

A couple years ago I helped a co-worker remove the inner door panel on a customer’s near-new Peterbilt to fix something inside the door. I set the panel on the rear 1/2 fender of the truck over the drive axles, out of harm’s way (hehe) and it was a clean spot, unlike the benches in that shop.

He had to order a part, another guy needed to move the truck... door panel ended up sliding off the fender and getting run over. It turns out a new Peterbilt door panel is $1200. :eek2: Shop owner made no money that day.

I also lost a fingertip last summer after a stupid move on my part, but that hindsight this is always 20/20, and beating yourself up over it doesn’t seem to help. Best a guy (or gal) can do is try to learn from it and move on.

Hope your fibreglass repair goes OK, I certainly think it’s repairable. Boat guys are really good at it if you end up needing professional assistance, but it sounds like you have a handle on it.

Yes. I like the design of both of those. They just don’t offer the appearance we wanted.
These sit all the way up at the hood line, and extend out to cover the 35s, while still allowing full articulation.

A long time ago, my first Jeep (69 Commando with 12” lift) had a custom paint job. I ran through a local coffee shop drive through, and the window operator asked what was painted on the hood. I backed up to show them, and drove right up onto the hood of a Lexus that was pulling up behind me.

I haven’t installed them yet (for obvious reasons) , but here they are on other vehicles...

That’s also the snorkel I have.

I’ll post in “other vehicle builds” when I get them repaired, modified, painted, and installed.

Ok, fine. It not how long or wide it is, it’s how you “jeep” it ;)

Ok. Here is my first attempt at fiberglass repair...before final sanding.
Also, I never liked the recessed tiny leds for which the fronts were made, so I filled them in while since I had the fiberglass materials handy.

Here is the broken left rear...

    E5BAC28B-AB7F-4F02-B8B2-B6A9D8E732CE.jpg

And here is one of the fronts with the rear in the background. 65386CFE-85E7-4E1D-85FB-14A40BDC22DA.jpg

No. They won’t be orange. That’s just the color of primer i happened to have laying around. It was too hard to get final curvature perfect when it was multiple colors from repairs and sanding. Having the area all one color will let me see shadows and highlight better.

Happy with my repair, but not so much with my paint idea. It will have to do though.
