Asking this question on a Tundra forum....

    Probably not productive.

I don’t own a Tundra or a Titan, but there would be no way I would buy a Titan anyway, and definitely would not if it has the C in it.

I would be looking at these:

    https://www.caranddriver.com/nissan/titan-xd

    https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2016-nissan-titan-xd-long-term-test-review

I’ve put a couple hundred thousand miles on Nissan 4x4’s.
I still own one. It will not be replaced with another Nissan once the time comes later this year.
They “financially make sense” for good reason.

A Titan will loose its value 15% faster than you Tundra, Just look up values or compare on CarMax.
I do understand your point of more mechanical issues, and I would just get Another Tundra with Low Miles and a Warranty instead of a New Titan.
I belive you would be Happier in the Long run.

Buddy of mine in FLA leased his first truck it was a Nissan Frontier. First six months were good, then it went down hill with electrical things happening inside the truck to front end problems. Never off roaded the truck just basic highway and city normal wear and tear.

Summer of 18 he got a 18 titan black on black, rims, tires 3/1 lift and just last week has a leak of engine oil out of his plug. I just think you get what you pay for with them being at the lower end of the full size trucks.

    I know right?

One of my co-workers just purchased a used Infinity G37x. Bragged about it, low miles, etc.

Transmission goes out. He was lucky and had a warranty, so it’s covered. Shit happens.

So the car has been in the shop 4 weeks. Kinda long for a trans job.

Anyway, for the icing on the cake.

This same guy buys a Titan (older body style, maybe 14?). Every guy needs a truck in their lives. Uses this for a few days and it broke down.

    I didn’t have to say a word....

Seems like if you need to ask that question , I'm sure you aren't true tundra, and there is someone waiting in line to pickup that beautiful truck, and take care of it. Everything in life needs something fixed once in awhile, it's a TUNDRA , in the long run it'll take better care of YOU.

    TEXAS!
visit titantalk and read the VERY LONG transmission thread.

had an '05 titan; bought from my father. bomb proof, except couldn't swim. lost it and everything else i owned during harvey in houston.

made a lot of quick decisions during sept 2017. a 2017 titan was one of them. BIGGEST POS I'VE EVER OWNED.

    transmission / shifting = garbage

headlights filled with water; not condensation... actually holding water

windshield washer hose was not connected, tried to clean windshield, cleaned engine bay instead. was pissed...

once connected, windshield washer hose had leak, dripped out of sprayer

    passenger seat shakes

driver side seat belt mechanism (part that rolls up belt behind b-pilar) was loose... freaking loose...

rattles, squeaks, and creaks with only a few thousand miles

got so tired of the dealer warranty trips, i started fixing sh!t myself.

oh yeah, column shifter. what year is this!?

got rear ended very hard. bent frame. great excuse to rid myself of that piece of crap.

bought a '19 limited CM in cement. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.

thinking about your question more... this has to be a joke. go from tundra to titan? you're funny...

My tundra has the column shifter.....it's a truck if you get a front bench chances are your going to have a column shifter. I never understood why people hate on this, it's a truck not a car. People complain about column shifters and were going to end up with a knob shifter like the Rams.

Op are you looking into the diesel or gas XD?
