2011 Tundra, Is it possible for all doors to lock (,key out of ignition), without activating anything.

Not unless you're in drive and exceed 15mph.

15 mins? Sure it's not like 60 (default) seconds?

This is what happened...I went to pick up my truck from a friend who decided to leave the keys under the floor mat. According to my friend as soon as the doors were closed the doors locked. I call B.S.

Well hold on a sec guys. What if his friend isn't lying and maybe just maybe his truck is a decepticon and locked itself. :locked:

As I think about it, it is a lot short than I thought. I can recall carrying a load of crap to the truck , unlocking the truck from inside and by the time I get to the truck it locks back :annoyed:

These trucks are so advanced, I think maybe his became self-aware and locked him out to prevent him from driving.

You can change the setting of the auto lock timer

Yeah the auto lock only occurs if your truck is already locked and you hit the "unlock" button and don't open the doors for 30-90 seconds (you can adjust the time from the display in your truck on the 3rd gens).

Seriously doubt the doors locked by themselves by just tossing the key under the mat lol.

Was the key fob remote on the key ring? Could have accidentally hit the lock button with the floor mat.

    I wondering the same thing.
    Example
I stuck my head out the door and unlocked the truck knowing I would need a few tools from inside later.. Went to work out back for a while and when I went to get my tools from the truck, it was locked.
I am also pretty sure this has happened before right in front of me but assumed I imagined it.

so my 2011 sr5 started locking within 20-30 seconds of me opening the door, regardless if the keys were in the vehicle or not (except while in ignition, very frustrating already had to break a window because my son was in the truck in 104 degree weather.
    NEED HELP PLEASE!!

yes my car auto locks. it didnt when i first got it but i must have triggered something or my kid did because he does press the key fob repeatedly when im not looking. but now after abkut 60-90 seconds of leaving doors closed and unlocked, it will self lock and beep.
