Just found this forum. Was member of Tundratalk, but they kinda had a breach of security.

My name is Carter and I have served 13 years in the Marine Corps. I got and but am still currently working on a Marine Corps base.

About to buy a new 2016 Tundra CrewMax XSPX 4x4 blah blah. Lol I have wanted one for a long time and I just decided, screw it, I am going to go out and buy exactly what I want.

I do plan on changing a few things on it. TRD dual exhaust with a Super 44 Flowmaster, TRD intake( I know before you say it, but I figured if nothing else it will help with air flow and MIGHT give me 1 more mpg)

Anyway, I look forward to reading and getting some good ideas and possibly assisting some others as well. Thanks

    Carter

Welcome from the San Francisco Bay Area! Not going to tell you how to use the forum as you've been a member of another fine forum. I just like this one a little more than TT.net

Thank you everyone for the welcome! Lots of Marines on here and that's what I like to see. I have been stationed mostly east coast with 4 combat deployments in 13 years. I am current a civilian dod worker as a GS11 on Cherry Point. OOHRAH brothers.

Don't you mean Cheerless Pit? (You know what what I mean.) I was stationed at MCAS New River. MATCS-28 (for the uninitiated, Marine Air Traffic Control Squadron 28) My job was to provide calibration and repair for mostly Radar Test Sets, Avionics TS, GPETE (For you AF folks.. TMDE) Spent a lot a lot of time at Bogue Field, half way between New River and Cheerless Pit. 1980/81. The Brit Royal Marines were practicing taking off with their AV-8B Harriers. (We,USMC, had ours too.) Special ramp to simulate air craft carrier ramp takeoffs. Brits had ramps on their carriers. We/USMC did the VTOL thing.( Vertical take off) as in Ospreys. Very cool by the way and very loud. Little did I/We know the Argentine military was going to get fracked up seriously at the Falkland Islands in a couple of weeks by Margaret Thatcher and CO . I wasn't in that "need to know" loop at the time. Rules of engagement were still in affect for the Brit military then>>> Kill the enemy. Figures that the Royal AF would need to learn a few things from Marine Aviators using a unique air frame bulit by the Brits. Nothing new with that. ie: Revolutionary War. Just sayin. Marine Aviators #1 by by the way. Not brag, just fact. Facts trump truth.

If you have never served in any USA miltary air wing, let alone any branch of our great USA military, Coast Guard,National Guard, please don't comment, you will just embarrass yourself. Just sayin
